TEENAGERS are seeking fuller lips and other cosmetic treatments to enhance their appearance, with girls as young as 16 being turned away from clinics in Perth.

Cosmetic physician Andrew Clark, of MIRA Clinic in West Perth, confirmed he had told underage girls they were too young for his non-surgical procedures.

He has also seen a rise in the number of WA women aged in their 20s receiving treatments to “protect or improve” their appearance.

He said changing “norms” and the decreasing price of cosmetic treatments had made the industry more accessible to more women across a greater age range.
