A recent Mediaplanet media campaign encourages readers to protect their skin against the sun’s damaging rays and to educate themselves on the newest skin cancer technologies and treatments available.
As part of the “Skin Cancer” campaign, the print component was distributed recently within the weekend edition of USA Today in Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Phoenix, and South Florida. The campaign’s digital component is available here.
“Start by looking at your skin and asking yourself, ‘was that mark there last year?’ ” explains actress Génesis Rodríguez, in a media release from Mediaplanet. “When I’m in the sun, I don’t get burned. I just get darker. So I thought I must not be at risk, but that’s a complete myth.”
“Using sunscreen daily, that’s the most important thing,” she adds. “It should become your everyday habit. It doesn’t matter if it’s cloudy or even snowing, so put it on every day.”
