November is National Healthy Skin Month, and local Skin Cancer & Cosmetic Dermatology Centers are teaming up with a number of venues and at least one major employer across northwest Georgia and southeast Tennessee to offer complimentary skin cancer screenings.

Full-body screenings for skin cancer and other dermatological disorders will be offered at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

According to the American Academy of Dermatology, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, with more than 8,500 people in the U.S. diagnosed every day.
