A Cuban boy who underwent surgery to remove a 10-pound tumor from his face has died.
While the operation was successful, Emanuel Zayas, 14, suffered kidney and lung complications days later, according to the Miami Herald.
Zayas, who captured the hearts of hundreds on social media when his story went viral, died Friday night at the Holtz Children’s Hospital at Jackson Memorial, doctors and relatives confirmed to the outlet.
