A San Diego-based law firm, Scheufler Law, is expanding its legal services for California’s aesthetics and wellness industry. The expansion aims to meet the needs of a market experiencing rapid growth, an increase in private equity investment, and heightened regulatory scrutiny.
The firm will offer services focused on compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and business structuring for med spas and wellness practices looking to enter, scale, or exit the market. The expansion coincides with the firm’s 29th anniversary.
Debra Scheufler, an attorney at the firm, has represented med spas and wellness practices since 2011, specializing in corporate structure, M&A, and regulatory compliance.
“We analyze your objectives and create a clear, concise plan of action to set your practice up in a compliant manner, focusing on delegating control, optimal revenue flow, and creating an acquisition target,” says Scheufler, in a release.
According to the firm, the growth in the aesthetics space has led to an increase in regulatory oversight, requiring expertise in multiple areas of law. In response, the firm is adding to its services, including conducting compliance audits and developing standardized procedures for practices. The firm also provides guidance on trademarks, estate planning, and navigating business separations.
