August in National Hair Loss Awareness Month, and low level laser therapy devices are proving to be viable treatment options for hair loss and thinning. The latest entry in a growing category of at-home systems is the LaserBand, a hands-free device from HairMax.
When worn for 90 seconds, three times a week, the cordless and lightweight device will stimulate and revitalize thinning hair, the company states. Featuring 82 laser modules, the LaserBand can treat the entire scalp or target specific problem areas from the front hairline to the back of the head.
The new and improved device cradles the scalp. The original device, the HairMax LaserComb, is glided over the area of the scalp that is experiencing hair loss. The LaserBand comprises HairMax’s patented hair-parting teeth mechanism. These teeth part the hair during treatment to allow for maximum laser light delivery to follicles.
The LaserBand, now available for preorder, will retail for $895 and will be available beginning in October 2015 via www.hairmax.com.
