Scott Miller, MD, FACS, a board-certified plastic surgeon, has released a new book titled Authentic Beauty: Defining a New Standard for Care and Results in Plastic Surgery. Drawing on more than two decades of experience, the book outlines Millerโs approach to achieving natural outcomes through individualized care and minimally invasive techniques.
Overview of Surgical Philosophy
In the book, Miller provides a detailed overview of his guiding principlesโquality, integrity, safety, and serviceโand explains how they inform his surgical decision-making and patient care. The book also covers a range of aesthetic procedures including facelifts, breast augmentation, tummy tucks, and non-surgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. A section is also devoted to addressing the aesthetic goals of male patients.
A Tool for Patients
Authentic Beauty is intended as an educational guide for those considering aesthetic surgery. Miller addresses how to select a qualified surgeon and discusses procedural considerations for the face, breast, and body. Real patient stories are included to illustrate the emotional and physical outcomes that can result from individualized aesthetic care.
โEvery patient has a unique vision of beauty, and my goal has always been to enhance their natural features while preserving their individuality,โ says Miller. โThis book is a reflection of that commitment, as well as an educational tool to help people make informed decisions about their care.โ
Focus on Recovery and Long-Term Results
