The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has elected plastic surgeon Ozan Sozer, MD, as president-elect, with his term as president set to begin in 2028.
The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) has elected Ozan Sozer, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of El Paso Cosmetic Surgery, as president-elect. Sozer, who currently serves as ISAPS treasurer, will assume the presidency in 2028.
Previous Leadership Roles at ISAPS
Sozer has held several leadership positions within ISAPS, including serving as chair of education. In that role, he led education efforts focused on knowledge-sharing among plastic surgeons.
“It is an incredible honor to be elected President-Elect of ISAPS by colleagues from around the world,” said Sozer. “I have always believed that aesthetic surgery advances when physicians share knowledge, challenge one another and continue learning. I look forward to helping further ISAPS’ commitment to global education, innovation and patient safety.”
ISAPS and International Education
Founded in 1970, ISAPS brings together aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons from more than 117 countries. The organization provides an international forum for scientific exchange, continuing education and the advancement of patient safety.
Sozer’s Plastic Surgery Career
Sozer has more than 25 years of experience and specializes in facial aesthetic surgery and body contouring. He has developed surgical techniques including the GlideLift and Extended Gliding Brow Lift.
Throughout his career, Sozer has educated medical professionals across North America, Europe, Asia and South America and has published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
