According to blogger Randal Wong at Physicians Practice, the use of Twitter doesnโt fit the physicianโs lifestyle. Period. โWe donโt have the time to sit in front of a computer,โ he writes, in Twitter Isnโt For Docs:
Twitter is exactly why most doctors donโt use the Internet. It demands that we become engaged and are proactive. It requires us to contribute. Most of us canโt even maintain a Web page, much less leave a comment on a Web site or blog. (Iโve received two comments on this blog in almost a yearโฆmaybe no oneโs reading?)
We are readers and we are passive.
Have you delegated a staffperson to be your eyes and typing fingers on social media sites, such as Facebook and Twitter?
