She celebrated her 25th birthday just a few months ago, but Cara Delevingne has unexpectedly become the face of an anti-ageing line.
The London-born beauty was recently announced as the face of Dior Capture, a range of stem-cell infused products from serum to cleanser that ‘corrects all visible signs of aging to reveal a radiant youthful beauty’.
Twitter users, however, were baffled at the choice of the fresh-faced model to represent an anti-ageing skincare line.
One summed up the feelings of many by saying: ‘Beautiful Cara is 25. I’m 51 and I’m your target audience. It’s a wrinkle cream. This is unfair to her and to me.’
Others questioned why they had not picked an older model to promote a line of products that make promises such as correcting ‘all visible signs of aging – wrinkles, loss of firmness and radiance, and uneven skin tone’.
Another said they would rather see someone with gray hair and lines like Dame Maggie Smith advertise the product.
