Nashville, Tenn, plastic surgeon Jack Fisher, MD, is the new President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).

Fisher is in private practice in Nashville, Tenn, and is an associate clinical professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University. Of note, he is a toy train aficionado. He built the toy train layout at the Vanderbilt Children’s hospital, and he has sponsored the Christmas Train Show at the Adventure Science Museum in Nashville for the past 26 years.

“It is a truly an honor to be the incoming President of the Aesthetic Society. Our goal and commitment is to provide our patients with the highest quality aesthetic care in the safest environment possible,” says Fisher in a news release.

Other new ASAPS officers on the Executive Committee are:

  • President-Elect: Michael C. Edwards, MD, of Las Vegas.
  • Vice President: James C. Grotting, MD, of Birmingham, Al.
  • Treasurer: Daniel C. Mills II, MD, of Laguna Beach, Calif.
  • Secretary: Clyde H. Ishii, MD, of Honolulu.
