Did you know it takes 144 days, on average, for cosmetic surgery patients to make a decision to undergo liposuction, breast augmentation, or another procedure? This is longer than elective healthcare patients seeking dental work, vision surgery, and/or hearing solutions. The most important considerations for cosmetic surgery patients were cost and financing.
These are some of the main findings from CareCredit’s Patient’s Path to Cosmetic Treatment and Surgery Purchase Study.
The results are based on an online survey of individuals who made an elective healthcare decision in the past year or were likely to make one in the coming one. Of the total sample, 218 respondents were interested in cosmetic treatments and surgery, and these individuals had an average age of 49.7, and 65% were female.
