In what is reportedly a groundbreaking first, this year’s MyFaceMyBody Awards are going virtual via the use of streaming technology to open up the awards to aesthetic businesses from around the world.
The awards program is opening its doors even further to allow entries from any country. Traditionally, the MyFaceMyBody Awards event was held in the key cities of London, Los Angeles and Sydney, but now clinics from remote regions, such as Antarctica, South America, and Africa, can enter, according to a media release.
The virtual 2019 MyFaceMyBody Awards will be held as part of the Global Virtual Aesthetics Summit. The event, which takes place November 10 and 11, incorporates both the awards and clinical and business programs presented by some of the world’s leading industry speakers, in a virtual space.
“Each year, we receive hundreds of inquiries from professionals and practices to run the MyFaceMyBody awards in their respective countries. We wanted to make this a reality,” says Stephen Handisides, CEO of MyFaceMyBody and GVAS.
“It’s a radical move and first of its kind,” he adds. “We will announce the winners using the latest technology in live video streaming.”
In addition to being recognized regionally, each local winner will be submitted for the chance to be awarded the overall global awards winner. Winning individuals, clinics, and brands will be recognized for their achievements and excellence not only in their region, but also on an international scale.
Submissions are open for the 2019 MyFaceMyBody Awards categories (see below), including best practice, best plastic surgeon and Medispa of the year, as well as new dental practice categories. A panel of judges that includes plastic surgeons will review the submissions and determine the awards winners, which Handisides will present.
