Researchers evaluated a proprietary dual hyaluronic acid complex designed to promote tissue remodeling through biomaterial-based regenerative biostimulation rather than localized inflammation.


Higher Corp’s Hilo Wave, a dual hyaluronic acid collagen booster, supports skin remodeling through a biomaterial-based approach rather than localized inflammation, according to a preclinical study published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences.

The study was conducted through an international collaborative research project led by the department of dermatology at Yonsei University Severance Hospital. The findings indicate that the proprietary dual hyaluronic acid complex supports regenerative biostimulation while minimizing inflammatory responses.

Unlike conventional collagen biostimulatory methods that often rely on triggering localized inflammatory responses to induce results, this approach investigated the biological mechanism of the dual hyaluronic acid complex and its ability to support tissue remodeling.

The preclinical findings demonstrated stable fibroblast viability, increased extracellular matrix activity, enhanced antioxidant capacity, and improvements in markers related to the skin barrier. No significant inflammatory responses were observed in the animal models used, which the researchers suggest supports the biological safety profile of the complex.

The data suggest that the technology promotes collagen synthesis and tissue regeneration by regulating the skin microenvironment while minimizing unnecessary inflammation.
