The Aesthetic Foundation has released the first annual report from the American Registry for Breast Implant Surveillance and Evaluation (ARISE) during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The report summarizes data collected since the registryโ€™s launch in 2021 through September 2025.

Five Procedure Categories Analyzed

The ARISE report includes device data and trends across five surgical cohorts: breast augmentation, revision breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, revision breast reconstruction, and implant removal without replacement. Each entry is supplemented with detailed intraoperative data.

Over 120,000 Devices Registered

More than 120,000 breast implant devices have been recorded in the ARISE registry. These entries represent implants from five major U.S. manufacturers. The platform also supported the Star study, the first U.S. clinical study to prospectively collect data on patients undergoing breast augmentation.

First Registry to Engage Patients Directly

ARISE is the first registry in the country to include direct patient engagement. Through a secure digital wallet, patients can access their device and procedural information for reference before future consultations or surgeries.

Supporting Research and Collaboration

Leaders from The Aesthetic Foundation and The Aesthetic Society described the report as a milestone for breast implant surveillance in the U.S. The Foundation plans to use the data for ongoing research, education, and collaboration with other national and international registries.
