BTL Group has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the Unified Patent Court against Lexter Microelectronic Engineering Systems, the maker of WonderFace.

BTL Group has initiated a patent infringement lawsuit before the Unified Patent Court against Lexter Microelectronic Engineering Systems S.L., the company that manufactures the WonderFace device.

The suit is based on BTL’s patents covering its EMFACE technology, which combines selective muscle stimulation and radiofrequency heating in hands-free applicators for facial lifting procedures.

Distribution Block Sought Across 18 Jurisdictions

BTL said the lawsuit seeks to prevent the distribution of WonderFace systems across multiple countries. A decision by the Unified Patent Court will apply directly in 18 jurisdictions.

Statement from BTL CEO

“We will vigorously defend our intellectual property to protect the investments of our clients. This lawsuit marks the beginning of our broader effort to take legal action against any third party that we believe infringes upon our innovations,” said Tomas Schwarz, CEO of the BTL Enterprise Group.
