The project invites plastic surgery professionals and other stakeholders to help identify the field’s most important unanswered research questions.

The British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeons is funding and supporting the Plastic Surgery Research Priorities project in collaboration with the International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies, a global effort aimed at identifying the research questions that matter most to the plastic and reconstructive surgery community.

The initiative is being delivered by an international steering committee led by the University of Oxford. The project is designed to surface unanswered questions across the specialty and help shape future research agendas based on input from those directly involved in patient care, research, and industry.

Participation is open to healthcare professionals, researchers, patient group members, and those working in industry, charities, or funding organizations involved in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Participants must be aged 18 or over.

How the Project Works

The project centers on a five-minute survey in which participants submit the research questions they consider most important. An optional second survey will allow participants to help prioritize the questions submitted during the first phase.
