It’s important to educate yourself on how your body works, investigate cosmetic products and treatments before trying them, and apply the fundamentals of a clean and healthy beauty routine to your daily life.

During cell division, as your chromosomes are replicated, the copying process cannot extend itself fully to your telomeres. This causes them to shorten slightly every time your cells divide. Once your telomeres get too short, they stop your cells from dividing at all. When they can no longer replicate, your cells either die off or become inactive, causing biological aging.

The lifestyle habits and environmental factors that cause your telomeres to shorten quickly include sun damage, pollution, smoking, alcohol consumption, lack of exercise, an unhealthy diet and (of course) stress. Almost every aging concern and lifestyle disease can be prevented or managed by taking these elements into consideration from a young age.
