A new study consisting of 1,438 claims issued against plastic surgeons insured by The Doctors Company, the largest physician-owned medical malpractice insurer in the United States, calls attention to both patients and physicians about factors leading to patient injury and the need to work together to minimize the risk of injuries.
The study is based on claims gathered from January 2007 through June 2015. It includes the most common accusations made by patients and the expert analysis by professionals with precise and impartial understanding of the specific reasons and factors that cause injuries.
