Tucson, Ariz-based Maxwell Aesthetics is one of the first aesthetic surgery centers in the United States to use the GFX system, a minimally invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to minimize glabellar wrinkles.
GFX was approved by the FDA in June of 2007 as a procedure to reduce and eliminate frown lines, and has gained a reputation as a possible alternative to botulinum toxin Type A.
Inside Arizona Business has published a video in which Gwen Maxwell, MD, FACS and Veena Kumar Vats, MD, are interviewed about the GFX technology. They show footage of the actual procedure and discuss the future of the new procedure.
