Last Thursday, Yale University Press announced the publication of Straight Talk About Cosmetic Surgery, by Arthur W. Perry, MD, FACS, a book for consumers on making informed decisions about aesthetic surgery procedures.
Perry has had a private practice in aesthetic surgery for 20 years and has served more than a decade on the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners. He is also a clinical associate professor of plastic surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Brunswick, New Jersey, as well as a clinical associate at the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He cohosts the radio program You: The Owner’s Manual Radio Show on Health Radio.
The book includes a foreword by Michael F. Roizen, MD, author of RealAge and You: The Owner’s Manual; more than 100 illustrations; and topics in facial rejuvenation, body contouring, botulinum toxin Type A, laser treatments, and fraud avoidance.
