The radiofrequency microneedling system uses a dual-depth approach to deliver energy across multiple skin layers, with companies reporting reduced treatment times and added safety features.
Cartessa Aesthetics is partnering with Classys Inc to introduce Quadessy, a radiofrequency microneedling platform, to the US market. The system is designed to deliver multi-layer skin remodeling through a dual-depth treatment approach.
Quadessy incorporates what the companies describe as a hybrid radiofrequency microneedling approach, integrating minimally invasive and noninvasive radiofrequency technologies. Through its hybrid thermal coagulation approach, the system sequentially delivers RF energy across multiple layers of the skin to stimulate both superficial and deeper dermal remodeling in a single pass, according to a release from Cartessa.
The multi-depth design is intended to reduce treatment time by more than 50%, with procedures that previously took about 45 minutes completed in as little as 15 minutes without reducing energy delivery, according to the release. The system also includes safety features such as automatic measurement of skin impedance to adjust RF output and support consistent energy delivery.
“At Cartessa, our mission has always been to identify technologies that don’t just compete in existing categories—they redefine them,” says Gabe Lubin, founder, chairman, and principal of Cartessa Aesthetics, in the release. “Until now, there hasn’t been an innovation that truly addresses the remaining unmet needs in the category—improved speed, safety, and better outcomes.”
The Quadessy system includes three handpieces and multiple treatment tips, allowing providers to tailor treatments across different anatomical areas and indications.
“As the world’s largest and most competitive aesthetics market, the US demands technologies that move the industry forward. Quadessy represents exactly that, and we are confident that it will become a new benchmark for the US and global [radiofrequency microneedling] market,” says YS Choi, representative executive officer of Classys, in the release.
As demand for minimally invasive procedures continues to grow globally, technologies that improve treatment efficiency, safety, and clinical predictability are expected to play a larger role in the radiofrequency microneedling category, the companies say in the release.
Quadessy is now available in the US, according to the release.
