Updates across the organization highlight its push to engage a wider professional community and strengthen year-round education.

The Aesthetic Society has introduced a new taglineโ€”โ€œThe Gold Standard of Aestheticsโ€โ€”as part of an effort to unify messaging across its programs and reflect ongoing changes within the organization. The phrase, which will appear in member communications and public-facing materials, accompanies broader updates to membership categories and educational offerings.

According to the organization, the tagline emerged after gathering input from members, industry partners, and consumers. The society reports that responses indicated it is widely viewed as a trusted authority in aesthetic plastic surgery and medicine, prompting leaders to formalize the phrase as part of its brand identity.

Society officials note that the timing of the rollout aligns with a growing focus on public awareness and patient safety, particularly as more providers enter the aesthetics space. The organization reiterated that its members are board-certified plastic surgeons who complete specialized training and ongoing education in aesthetic procedures.

“The Aesthetic Society was founded by trailblazersโ€”visionary plastic surgeons who not only practiced aesthetic plastic surgery, but helped create the specialty itself,” says Tracy Pfeifer, MD, MS, president of The Aesthetic Society, in a release. “That same pioneering spirit continues to guide The Aesthetic Society today. Our new tagline speaks clearly to both board-certified plastic surgeons and the public, reflecting our unwavering commitment to excellence in education, innovation, expertise, integrity, and patient safety.โ€

Recent Organizational Developments

The debut of the tagline follows several recent organizational developments. Over the past year, The Aesthetic Society expanded its membership structure, including the launch of AlliedPro, a category for nonsurgical aesthetic professionals such as nurse injectors, physician assistants, aestheticians, and medspa personnel. The society reports that interest in the program has been strong, citing demand for structured education and professional networking among nonsurgical practitioners.

In addition to AlliedPro, the society has grown its Affiliated Specialty category, which includes physicians recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties who are active in aesthetic plastic surgery. By including more clinicians involved in aesthetic procedures, the organization aims to broaden participation in its educational and professional initiatives.

Education continues to be a central focus. In 2025, the society launched an upgraded Aesthetic Society Academy intended to make on-demand learning more accessible. It also expanded its live webinar schedule and reported record attendance at recent in-person events, including the Facial & Rhinoplasty Symposium, which drew its largest number of international participants and residents to date, according to a release from the society.

The organizationโ€™s next major event will be The Aesthetic MEET 2026, scheduled for May 14โ€“17 in Boston. The annual meeting is expected to bring together surgeons, AlliedPro members, trainees, and industry representatives for educational sessions and hands-on training.
