Medical aesthetics platform Advanced Medaesthetic Partners (AMP) has invested in Wilmington, N.C.-based medical spa Glo MedSpa.

Since its inception in 2005, GloMedSpa has focused on a scientific, preventive, and maintenance-based approach to skincare. What’s more, their team of professionals, dubbed the “Glo Girls,” has gained statewide acclaim for their proficiency in injectables, lasers, and non-surgical treatments, AMP officials say.

They add that their investment in Glo MedSpa aligns with AMP’s goal to become the  top aesthetics platform in the United States. AMP’s CEO Nicole Chiaramonte elaborated on the goal, adding, “We are thrilled to join forces with this exceptional practice. AMP’s role will be to empower Glo MedSpa to continue delivering exceptional patient experiences, leveraging our extensive resources and expertise. Together, we aim to expand our reach and provide outstanding care to an even larger patient base in North Carolina.”

Chiaramonte elaborated on AMP’s goals in a recent podcast episode with PSP. In it, she talked about how private equity is changing the playing field, and how she wants to create a model that protects private plastic surgery practices. As she explains it, AMP partner practices retain their public-facing identity. AMP’s goal is to optimize the business side, Chiaramonte says, investing heavily in marketing and training, while allowing the plastic surgeon to focus in on what he/she knows best: clinical treatment.
