The acquisition aims to create a new patient acquisition channel by connecting aesthetic practices with corporate skin health and wellness programs.

Aesthetic Record, an EMR and practice management platform, announced its acquisition of JOYA Health, a company that provides corporate skin health and wellness benefits. The deal aims to connect employers and their employees with credentialed dermatological and aesthetic care providers within the Aesthetic Record network.

The acquisition reflects a trend toward specialized, consumer-driven health benefits, positioning the combined company to integrate employer wellness strategies with aesthetic and dermatological practices.

A Unified Patient Acquisition Model

The combined platform is designed to create a single pathway for patient acquisition, linking employers directly to providers in the Aesthetic Record ecosystem. According to a release from the company, this model provides a consistent source of new patients for practices by offering subsidized benefits to employees for services such as skin cancer screenings, Botox, lasers, and facials.

JOYA Health reports approximately 40% member utilization across its client base, which includes Fortune 500 companies, school districts, and consumer brands.

“JOYA Health has demonstrated that when access to skin health is simplified and employer-supported, engagement follows,” says Tiphany Hall, PhD, chief growth officer of Aesthetic Record, in a release. “Bringing JOYA onto our platform lets us scale that model nationally and gives our providers a strategic way to access a broader patient base.”

The new structure matches employees with vetted providers for care subsidized by their employer benefits. The company states this creates a predictable source of new patients for participating aesthetic practices.

“This is a meaningful step toward truly connected care. JOYA bridges employers and providers in a way that hasn’t existed at scale,” says Dr Justin Harper, founder of Aesthetic Record, in a release. “We’re thrilled to welcome Mike Jafar, JOYA’s founder and CEO, to our Board as we keep expanding access to quality skin health.”
