The manufacturer of medical and aesthetic lasers and light source technologies made some changes in 2019 and 2020.

Sciton Inc, a manufacturer of medical and aesthetic lasers and light source technologies, concluded 2019 by promoting key executives, holding two sold-out user summits, and launching multiple new technologies.

In 2019, Sciton delivered the eighth consecutive year of growth and two of its best historic quarters. According to Robb Brindley, vice president of sales, North America, “The defining factor for our growth and success is quite simply our people. Growth in Leadership

In 2020, Aaron Burton was promoted to chief executive officer. He has spent the last eight years at Sciton growing the aesthetic sales team, women’s health group, international sales team, and operations in the company’s Palo Alto, Calif, headquarters. Jim Hobart, founder and chairman , says, “He has devoted his career at Sciton to pushing boundaries and motivating teams to reach new records. He has made it widely known that his vision for the future is about maintaining the Sciton culture while forging forward with a growth mindset. In 2019, the company also rewarded other high performers. Robb Brindley was added to the board of directors as the current vice president of sales, North America, bringing with him nearly two decades of Sciton experience. During the Fall User Summit, the company announced that Lacee J. Naik was promoted to the position of vice president of marketing and public relations and became an advisor to the board of directors.  

New Technologies Unveiled

The JOULE Xplatform, a customizable laser and light performance system, was launched at ASLMS 2019.

As an option for the JOULE Xplatform, Sciton unveiled the new ClearVapplication for the treatment of unsightly blood vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, and vascular lesions. With one of a kind Subsurface Vein Illumination technology, (veins that cannot be seen by the naked eye can be visualized and treated.

The Clear Suite family of products, including ClearV), ClearSilk, and ClearHair, combined with BroadBand Light (, enables physicians to treat veins, skin, and hair from a single platform.

The company also introduced Sciton iQ, a cloud-based data intelligence software program that provides customers with real-time system and treatment data analytics to drive their business. Sciton iQ features data and dashboard audit reports on specific procedures, giving practices a business tool for planning and resource utilization.
