The new framework provides aesthetic providers with a structured approach to multimodal facial assessment and individualized treatment planning.
Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, has launched AA Signature in the US, introducing a structured consultation framework designed to help health care providers conduct multimodal facial assessments.
The nationwide rollout begins with AA Signature: SKIN360, the first in a planned series of protocols developed to align clinical assessments with evolving patient aesthetic goals. The initial protocol focuses on skin quality and hydration by leveraging Allergan Medical Institute resources alongside three portfolio treatments: Skinvive by Juvederm, SkinMedica HA5 Hydra Collagen Hydrator with Vegan Collagen, and Botox Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA).
“AA Signature represents a new approach to treatment planning, helping HCPs deliver personalized, multimodal assessments backed by Allergan Aesthetics’ robust product portfolio,” says Nicole Mowad-Nassar, senior vice president, AbbVie and president, global Allergan Aesthetics, in a release. “By enabling more meaningful patient consultations and individualized treatment journeys, we are helping shape the future of aesthetic medicine.”
Data Highlights Multimodal Retention Benefits
The initiative is built around practice metrics showing the operational value of multimodal aesthetic planning. According to data cited by Allergan Aesthetics, practices that adopt a multimodal approach to treatment planning achieve 68% higher patient retention compared to practices that treat a single patient concern.
Research also indicates that 96% of surveyed patients express interest in receiving a “comprehensive” consultation. In an additional category-wide study examining patient education, eight out of 10 patients chose to proceed with treatment after completing a comprehensive assessment and aligning with their clinician on a regimen involving two or more in-office procedures or products.
Clinical Assessment Protocols and Portfolio Expansion
The SKIN360 protocol specifically targets patients seeking smoother, more hydrated skin across multiple anatomical regions. As part of this consultation pathway, providers assess three modalities:
- Skinvive by Juvederm, an intradermal microdroplet injection indicated to improve cheek smoothness and hydration
- SkinMedica HA5 Hydra Collagen Hydrator with Vegan Collagen, a topical hydrator formulated to support long-term skin health and visible plumping
- Botox Cosmetic, an FDA-approved injectable indicated to temporarily improve moderate to severe platysma bands, forehead lines, lateral canthal lines, and glabellar lines in adults
The company notes that the safety and efficacy of these three products have not been evaluated for combined use.

Allergan Aesthetics plans to expand the AA Signature framework through 2027, with subsequent assessment protocols scheduled to address tissue lift, structural volume, skin firmness, and facial definition.
