Rodrigo Alves, dubbed the British ‘Human Ken Doll’, has been offered a Guinness World Record for having the ‘Most Cosmetic Procedures’ in the world.

The 33-year-old recently had his 51st surgery to burn off the first layer of skin and leave his face blemish-free, having started transforming his body at the age of 17.

But surgeons have criticised the reward and said it will only encourage vulnerable people to do the same in order to find fame.

Dr Julian de Silva, a leading Harley Street cosmetic surgeon, told Metro.co.uk: ‘Creating a world record for having the most cosmetic procedures is not a good idea.

‘Extremely high numbers of treatments for cosmetic surgery are rarely a wise course of action especially when it is only for aesthetic reasons and not reconstructive surgery to repair trauma.

‘Giving a prize for people for the highest number of procedures undertaken will only encourage vulnerable people into having greater numbers of treatments in order to find notoriety or fame.
