The hidden scar program for breast cancer surgery is being offered at Women and Infants Hospital.
Pamela Rohland is a beneficiary. It was two-and-a-half years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“That was a scary time,” she said
Her surgeon, Dr. David Edmonson of Women and Infants Hospital, went over her options.
“He came in with a Power Point presentation and all of this information and then the social worker and the nurses gave me information that I could use,” said Rohland. “Just studying all of that helped me understand and feel calmer going in to the surgery.”
But there was something else he could offer her.
