Women getting breast implants should not get to pick the size they want, plastic surgeons warn.

Typically, patients getting a boost will go to their cosmetic doctor with a size in mind.

They then work together to establish whether this is what she wants, before performing the operation.

But a new report by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons warns this could carry health dangers.

Instead, they say, surgeons should select the implant size based on breast tissue measurements, to establish clear boundaries of what is best for the patient’s well-being.
