A new integration with BRAG Book lets plastic surgery and aesthetic practices transfer consent-verified patient photos from the medical record directly to their website galleries.

4D EMR, a provider of electronic medical record technology built for the plastic surgery market, has entered a referral partnership with Candace Crowe Design, the aesthetic-practice marketing firm behind the before-and-after photo gallery BRAG book. Practices that sign up for BRAG book through 4D EMR will receive a complimentary launch package.

The partnership is designed to address a persistent workflow gap in aesthetic practices, where results photography typically exists in two separate systems: the patient chart, where it serves a clinical function, and the practice website, where it supports consultation bookings. Moving images between the two has traditionally required exporting, renaming, re-tagging, and re-uploading—tasks that often fall to already-stretched staff and can result in a practice’s strongest cases never reaching the public gallery, according to a release from 4D EMR.

How the Integration Works

The 4D-BRAG book integration enables one-click photo transfer from 4D to BRAG book, with marketing releases verified in 4D EMR before any case is transmitted, so every submission arrives with consent already confirmed. Staff drag images into the before-and-after columns of the BRAG book dashboard and tag the procedure, after which case data flows in automatically and can optionally feed an AI case-description generator.

Cases then queue to publish with image markup and metadata structured for search. According to the companies, standardized case data allows descriptions to read consistently across the site, supporting visibility in traditional search engines and AI-powered search tools.

Each BRAG book gallery is built to match the practice’s site and brand, with layout options intended to make the gallery appear native from launch. Visitors can save cases they like into a personal collection, and the practice receives their contact information in real time, giving staff visibility into a prospective patient’s preferences before the consultation begins.

“Every plastic surgeon I know has the same problem: The photos that would fill your website are sitting in the chart, and nobody has time to move them,” says Robert Pollack, MD, FACS, founder and CEO of 4D EMR, in a release. “We built 4D EMR for how aesthetic practices actually work, and ultimately, to solve exactly this type of problem. Candace and her team have spent years building the best gallery product in aesthetics. Connecting the two means the work a practice already does in the chart shows up where patients are looking.”

TK Crowe, vice president of Candace Crowe Design, adds, “In training calls, I see it all the time: a practice’s best photos are scattered everywhere, on a phone, on an iPad, in another imaging system, sometimes on an old backup drive. 4D gives practices one safe place to keep them. Once that becomes the habit, BRAG book takes it the rest of the way, straight from the chart to the gallery, no exporting or re-uploading,” in a release.

Complimentary Launch Package Options

Practices that sign up through 4D can select from two complimentary launch packages:

  • The Best Gallery in Town — BRAG book researches local competitors, helps set photo and formatting standards so every case matches, and documents the process so the practice can sustain it after launch.
  • Bb Social Signature Kit — Sets up the practice’s Brand Box and custom templates and includes a free month of BRAG book’s social management, with before-and-after content live on Instagram and Pinterest at launch.
