Much like Gvasalia inflated the collection’s silhouettes, from the boxy suiting to the larger-than-life ball gowns, Grognard took a few of the model’s cheekbones to new heights and proportions.

The handiwork of Kinebanyan’s virtually imperceptible prosthetic makeup, the cartoonish character detail of which was equal parts clever and menacing, spoke to the show’s overarching themes of excess while riffing on our culture’s obsession with plastic surgery.
