Make Me Heal, a portal for plastic surgery and antiaging, is launching the Beauty Enhancement Awards (BEAs), an aesthetic surgery awards event celebrating natural beauty with enhancement.

The BEAs allow women and men of all ages and races to compete in various categories, including makeovers in different age categories, liposuction, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and couples makeovers.

This event is open to the public, who  can vote for their favorite contestants directly at www.makemeheal.com during the first round, which will end May 31. Winners of the first round advance to the second round, which will take place the last week of June and the finals, which will take place the second week of July. The winners will be decided by a panel of surgeons, beauty professionals, and celebrity judges.

The BEAs aim to educate the public about how to make informed decisions about plastic surgery—from how to choose the right physician, which options are available, and how a patient should prepare for and recover from a procedure.

Winners will receive products and proceeds from the event, which will benefit organizations that provide reconstructive procedures for people with congenital defects or who are casualties of war, or that perform breast cancer research. Some proceeds will be earmarked toward a private fund created by Make Me Heal for investing in female-owned start-up entrepreneurial businesses.

The application deadline is April 30. Contestants can apply at [removed]www.makemeheal.com/contests[/removed].
