The defendant is identified only as “Jane Doe.” Her attorney, Kevin O’Brien, said the woman, a mother in her mid-40s who lives in the Chicago area, was “shocked” to find her photos online after she “specifically refused” permission for Dr. Rajendra Shah and his son Dr. Samir Shah to use the images for marketing purposes.

The surgeons removed the images from their A New You Plastic Surgery website after O’Brien and his client reached out, O’Brien said. Like many plastic surgeons, the two use before-and-after photos on their website as a promotional tool.
