Add fine lines and wrinkle to the growing list of indications for CynoSure’s PicoSure® laser.
The US Food and Drug Administration has now cleared PicoSure for treating fine lines and wrinkles. The new indication joins tattoo removal and treatment for benign pigmented lesions and acne scars.
“Pulses from the PicoSure laser can actually lead to new collagen and elastic production when focused through special lens arrays,” says Robert Weiss of Maryland Laser Skin & Vein Institute in Hunt Valley, in a news release. “An additional benefit is that pigmentation of the skin is also greatly improved, which typically is not achieved by injectables such as toxins or dermal fillers alone.”
