East Coast girls may be hip (or so the song goes), but the West Coast is where it’s at when it comes to looking and feeling young, according to a new survey from RealSelf.

RealSelf ranked major US cities based on more than a dozen of the factors that affect aging including sun exposure, smoking, stress, access to dermatologists and fitness centers,

And the winner is … San Francisco.

The so-called City by the Bay earned high scores for having residents who eat healthfully, are physically fit, and are hyper-concerned with their skin’s appearance, the data reveal.

Coming in second is Seattle, where the city’s active inhabitants aren’t as likely to spend on anti-aging products at the beauty counter, but interest per capita in Botox exceeds Los Angeles.

Here’s the top 10 cities as ranked by Real Self:

1) San Francisco

2) Seattle

3) Washington DC

4) Minneapolis

5) Denver

6) Austin

7) Portland, Ore

8) San Diego

9) Boston

10) New York City

And the loser is … Charleston, WV. This state capital has the most tanning salons per capita, residents get the least amount of sleep, and the city ranks fourth for smoking the most cigarettes.
