The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s 45th Annual Meeting — The Aesthetic Meeting, 2012 — will take place May 4-8, 2012 at the Vancouver Convention & Exhibition Centre. With more than 200 exhibits, a global hot topics seminar, hands-on cadaver workshops and live demonstrations, it can be hard to know what to do first.

Following are Plastic Surgery Practice‘s  top picks for don’t miss sessions at this year’s meeting.
 

Practice Management
 

Ceatus Media Group CEO David Evans, PhD, MBA, will discuss ways to turn cash into clicks and clicks into cash and other hot topics in Internet marketing. Evans’ first presentation, “Maximizing Your Online Marketing ROI,” will take place on Friday, May 4, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in room 209. The second educational course, “Turning Cash Into Clicks and Clicks into Cash,” is slated for Monday, May 7, from 2  to 5 p.m. in room 224.
 

Evans will also give sponsored lunch lectures. “Perfect Your Online Presence; How to Increase Your Visibility and Generate More Patients,” will focus on the key components of a successful Internet marketing strategy and provide website evaluations for attendees. This 45-minute lecture will take place Saturday, May 5, at 12:45 p.m. and Sunday, May 6, at 12:15 p.m. in the general viewing area.

Treating Breast Asymmetry
 

Laguna Beach, CA-based plastic surgeon Daniel C. Mills MD, will teach a course on breast asymmetry and a "Hot Topic" lecture on VASER liposuction and Adipose Derived Regenerative Cells. The course," Breast Asymmetry: Strategies for Improving Outcomes and Patient Satisfaction", will take place on Friday May 4, 2012 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. His hot topics presentation will be held on May 4, 2012 at 3:15 pm.
 

Cosmetic Medicine

A full-day comprehensive course looking at minimally invasive nonsurgical procedures will take place on Friday May 4, 2012 starting at 7:30 a,m. The morning session, “The Power of Cosmetic Medicine: Optimizing Results with Light and Energy-Based Technologies” will be chaired by Michael Kulick, MD. It goes from 7:30 a.m to 12:00 p.m. The faculty will present a review and update on the growing array of light and energy-based procedures. There will be a panel discussion on complications and controversies in areas including ablative and nonablative skin improvement, acne (acute postop and scarring), IPL, skin contour related to fat, and vascular correction.

Z. Paul Lorenc will chair the afternoon session, “The Power of Cosmetic Medicine: High Impact Results with Injectable Agents for Facial Rejuvenation.” The faculty includes Steven Fagien, MD, Julius Few, MD, Miles Graivier, MD, Jeffrey M. Kenkel, MD, Haideh Hirmand, MD, Jonathan Sykes, MD, and additional experts in dermal fillers and neurotoxins.
