The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) is hosting its 86th annual scientific conference, Plastic Surgery The Meeting, October 6 – 10 in Orlando. The premier educational and networking event of the year for plastic surgeons from the United States and around the world, Plastic Surgery The Meeting is attended by plastic surgeons, residents, researchers and other allied health professionals interested in expanding their knowledge to improve the quality of patient care and outcomes.
Plastic Surgery The Meeting has provided generations of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeons the continuing medical education and latest cutting-edge research to grow all aspects of their surgical careers and practices.
“This is where the best and brightest plastic surgeons from around the world connect to discuss advancements in technology and techniques to advance patient safety and enhance quality of life,” said Debra Johnson, MD, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
The 3,000 expected attendees will have access to seven educational tracks, including aesthetic, breast, craniomaxillofacial, reconstructive and research and technology presented by leading experts in their respective disciplines.
“The Meeting provides a platform for our members to share their research and outcomes in a very meaningful and accessible way,” said Paul Cederna, MD, president of The Plastic Surgery Foundation. “In many instances, our members can immediately take what they’ve learned and implement those new developments into their practice.”
The educational courses help identify current and emerging issues and medical advances in plastic surgery that impact the diagnosis and delivery of treatment for a wide range of patients – and help assess the potential applications of new techniques, medical devices and pharmaceuticals into clinical practice. All sessions, labs and courses are designed to expand knowledge into practice for the improvement of patient outcomes, satisfaction and safety.
